I’m trying a little something new on my site. An introduction post to an upcoming trip so I can hopefully hold myself accountable to update my blog as I go. Welcome to follow along especially on Instagram where I update the most frequently, @gastronomictraveler.
I’m soon departing for an 11 day (12 including travel) trip through Asia, including a few days at home in Taipei. My trip will consist of 15 flights, 10 airports, 9 airlines, 2 new countries. The 2 most exciting flights among the 15 would be Oman Air business class on their 787-9 from Bangkok to Muscat and checking out the brand new Muscat International Airport as well as Qatar Airways’ game-changing Q Suites business class from Doha to JFK. I’m very excited to stay at an AirBnB on a water village in Brunei and for the family’s trip to Laos where we will stay at the brand new Rosewood Luang Prabang for a part of the trip.
I dont plan on reviewing all the flights as individual posts, some will be quickly whipped into the larger trip posts but in the case of the new ones for me I will probably post. The first two flights I wont post about as one is a domestic U.S. flight which is nothing exciting and the other is of a product I’ve blogged about before, China Airlines 777-300ER Business Class, flying Atlanta-San Francisco-Taipei.

I hope to post and update the blog and this page with links as I go.
It will be a packed few days back in Asia but I am so excited for the various aviation experiences and travel adventures that await. Further, I am hitting my last two Southeast Asian nations that I have yet to visit.
Stay tuned.
